Unfortunately, most kids get sick at some point. We have many options available for your child to be seen.
Walk ins: Now reopening!
-Hours are 8:30am-11:30am Monday-Saturday for existing patients. No appointment or phone call is necessary during these hours.
-We are asking patients to fill out a short questionnaire regarding the reason for visit prior to being seen.
-We are providing rapid antigen testing for patients with covid like symptoms. We CANNOT test asymptomatic patients, regardless of exposure or need for travel.
-PCR testing is not available in our office. Please check with our child's school, childcare facility, or camp to confirm what type of test is required. PCR testing can be ordered at Lurie.
-As a reminder, patients will be seen by the first available provider during walk ins. If you would like your child seen by a specific provider, please call the office to schedule an appointment.
-While telemedicine will continue to be offered, we strongly encourage patients with symptoms of acute illness, especially fever and respiratory symptoms, to come for an in person appointment.
Same day sick appointments
If you cannot make it to walk ins by 11:30am and you feel your child needs to be seen today, please call us. We have availability for same day sick visits in the afternoon but they are by appointment only.
Extended ill appointments
Sometimes you want to see your doctor, especially for more chronic or sensitive issues. Discussions of sleep training, feeding issues, behavior/school concerns, and developmental concerns are better suited for a scheduled extended ill visit with your primary doctor.
We are happy to offer telemedicine appointments for select problems. Please see the telemedicine page for more details.
